Linda Ann Ryan died Feb. 11, 2011.

She was born in Butte, where she graduated from high school in 1964. She graduated from Western Montana College in 1968 with a degree in business education and went on to receive an elementary education degree from Eastern Washington University.

Linda married Carl Ryan in 1968 and the two have lived in Odessa, Wash., since that time.

Along with her husband, Carl, she is also survived by three children and four grandchildren, Bill and Lorain Ryan of Nampa, Idaho, Mike Ryan of Spokane, and Chris Ryan and John Schumacher of Orting, Wash.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, John and Julie O'Neil.

She enjoyed golfing, bowling, reading and cross-stitching. Spending time with her friends and family was probably her biggest thrill in life. She enjoyed any friend or family get-together in Odessa or out of town. She loved her grandchildren, Luke, Katy, Ben and Cameron and was often visiting to watch their various events.

Linda worked for the Odessa School District as an elementary teacher for almost 30 years. After retirement she spent most of her time traveling, which was a true passion of hers. She loved traveling all over the country and world with her husband, family and friends and had recently returned from a month-long trip to Eastern Europe.

Linda's life will be celebrated at 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, in The Heritage Church in Odessa with a gathering following her service.

Memorials can be made to Friends of the Pool, Box 691, Odessa, WA 99159; St. Joseph's Catholic Church Memorial Fund, Box 700, Odessa, WA 99159; or any other Odessa organization.
