Laura Gail (McLean) D'Arcy, 64, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010. She was called home while surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Butte Nov. 28, 1945, to Lean and Gladys (Hedin) McLean. She attended Hawthorne School and graduated from Butte High in 1964. After graduation from high school, Laura met the love of her life, Jerry. Laura and Jerry were married on June 4, 1966, in St. John's Catholic Church in Butte. They made their home in Butte and raised three wonderful boys, Jerry, Jody and Jeff.

Laura lived for her family, which included all her children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, and extended family. She was talented and creative, loved cooking, baking, painting, ceramics, camping and nature. Her time spent with her family at their cabin was precious to her. She retired from the Bert Mooney Airport where she has many dear friends.

Laura was preceded in death by her oldest son, Jerry; grandmother, Amanda Hedin; parents, Lean and Gladys McLean; sister, Eileen Jones; and nephews, Teddy Kocher, Pat McLean and Tom Gavigan.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry; sons and daughters-in-law, Jody and Jennifer D'Arcy, and Jeff and Heidi D'Arcy; grandchildren, Pana Jo D'Arcy (Lonnie Stevens), Justin, Jeremy, Jessica, Tye, Lane, and Ashlyn D'Arcy; great-granddaughter, Brylee Jo Stevens; siblings, Leroy McLean (Betty), Earl McLean, June Robbins (Mickey), Carol Gunstrom (Gary), Glenn McLean and Gayle McLean; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary and Gerald D'Arcy; sisters-¬in-law, Carol Kocher, Joan Gavigan (Tom), Jo Foley (Bob), Cecilia Hansen (Al), Michelle Davis (Don); brother-in-law, Melvin D'Arcy (Angie). She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews and special friends, Janet Turner and Marilyn Mason.

Laura will always be in our hearts and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Relatives and friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday in St. John's Catholic Church. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. A reception will follow in Aldersgate Methodist Church. Her ashes will be placed in the mausoleum at Mountain View Cemetery with her son, Jerry.

Memorials: Our Lady of the Rockies or a charity of the donor's choice.
