Harvey Howard was born in Butte, Montana on December 31, 1945, to Harvey Howard, Sr., a WWII veteran, and Alma Marie Howard. Harvey passed away at home in Gold Bar, Washington on November 10, 2012.

Harvey graduated from Butte High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served for four years. He later worked at Todd Shipyard. Harvey was proud to have gotten to know Evil Knievel when he worked as an airplane mechanic for him.

Harvey loved his music, especially the Ventures, and had an extensive library of music that he often shared with others. He loved his Toy, a retractable hardtop 1957 black and white Ford Fairlane with a 390 engine, loved to cruise it, show it off, take the girls for a spin.

Harvey was a patriot. One step into his home, with its American flag lampshades and flag photos and flag lights in the living room window and bordered around his TV, and you knew Harvey dearly loved his country.

Harvey loved to play. Be it cribbage, or poker, or guitar, or just hanging with his many, many buddies, Harvey enjoyed life. He loved to travel to Cabo, Hawaii, as well as to Butte to visit with loved ones and grab a few pasties for the freezer.

Harvey is survived by his brother, Tom, Sr. in Arlington, Wash.; his sister, Marie in Montana; his nephew, Tom, Jr. in Arlington; and three nieces, Sheila in Idaho, Susan in Montana and Shelley.

He is also survived by a huge network of friends who he took in like his own blood, and who took him back just the same. Harvey was a well-loved man who will be very sorely missed for quite some time.

A special thank you goes out from Harvey’s family and friends to Barb and Wendy, Harvey’s angels to the end.

At Harvey’s request, there will be no formal services.

Harvey was, without a doubt, Mr Reunion. He was
the kindest man I ever knew. He made sure everyone was
included. A lady who wanted to dance was never
disappointed when Harv was there. He was so smart and
so interesting. Always full of joy
